Ghost Town Christmas

After six years the impact of this image continues to beleaguer me during Christmas. The chain-link fence surrounded this abandoned house is in the ghost town of Cisco, UT. At the time I was in a workshop, and this scene stopped me in my tracks. Who placed the toy Santa and pineapple on the white shelve? Despite someone’s plight, Was this a message of continuing hope? No one will ever know the actual backstory behind the image, which I suppose is why the Christmas message maintains its mystery.
